It is a take off on the mexican sausage called chorizo. When I make a "scrambled egg" on the weekends I mash up some tofu that has been set out to dry in paper towels for a while and then spoon in some soyrizo for flavor in a skillet. Really delicious and easy to make it as spicy or mild as you like - just add more soyrizo for more zip and less for more mild.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03779170914143728654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497179589669118598.post-19277214068062042542013-01-16T08:13:28.808-08:002013-01-16T08:13:28.808-08:00Yes if I eat tofu, I generally count it as a porti...Yes if I eat tofu, I generally count it as a portion of my bean intake, but I tend to stay away from tofu and go for less processed sources of protein, such as whole beans. Whole beans are super beneficial to those wanting to lose weight. They contain resistant starches that pass right through your digestive system, getting things moving more efficiently, but not adding many extra calories since they aren't absorbed. Good health and good luck!Amy's Nutritarian Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200134098931452894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497179589669118598.post-33848611588473582392013-01-16T06:48:47.778-08:002013-01-16T06:48:47.778-08:00Can I eat tofu on the six week challenge? Can I eat tofu on the six week challenge?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497179589669118598.post-48764465832948295442012-02-02T17:29:49.252-08:002012-02-02T17:29:49.252-08:00Oh, what great ideas! I've never tried tofu scramble before, so I'll have to give it a go one of these weekends. -ANKAmy's Nutritarian Kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200134098931452894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8497179589669118598.post-4213811425758550102012-02-01T18:52:30.389-08:002012-02-01T18:52:30.389-08:00I love buckwheat and/or quinoa with fruit for brea...I love buckwheat and/or quinoa with fruit for breakfast. Hot or cold with some ground chia & water or soy milk. Definitely my favourite :)
I make a tofu scramble when I feel like a more substantial weekend breakfast though.Clairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10632090562711819003noreply@blogger.com
